Treasury's main duties are ensuring liquidity for the Bank, setting base prices for domestic operations, and managing Itaú BBA's own funds.

Apart from its retail activities, Itaú BBA's main source of local currency funds is from the issue or sale of Bank Deposit Certificates (CDB) or Interbank Deposit Certificates (CDI).

Treasury is also active in derivatives, options, swaps, purchase and securities and currency sales, and offers innumerable products for its corporate and institutional customer base.
